Here we have a diurnal lizard that we found in one of our exploratory hikes. They were found at 4 pm on the 11th December 2022.
We have logged this picture in the iNaturalist. So far, 5 people have identified it as Fathead Anoles from the Enyalius genus.
Enyalius is a genus of lizards in the family Leiosauridae. The genus is native to Brazil and Uruguay. Its peak in seasonality seems to be October – January.
